This project began with a collage I made for Studio for Drawing with Salvador Jimenez-Flores. The assignment was then to build upon said collage and I added on to the narrative by adding the plumes of jet fuel and smoke, as well as make the lighting more dynamic. This moment captured is one of bliss and one of terror. Personally the beach is one of my favorite places for its tranquility so I decided to turn that feeling on its head by including missiles and jets signaling the beginning and possible end of a violent confrontation between two world powers. This setting could take place almost anywhere but is inspired by the tension between North Korea and the United States of America. It is meant to show that at any moment, life as we know it could change forever.
